Judges Needed for 2017 Arlyn Miner Moot Court Program
The Arlyn Miner First-Year Moot Court Program will take place on April 5-6 and April 11-13. All JD students spend second semester of their first year writing and revising complex, multi-issue briefs, which they argue before a panel of alumni and faculty judges. We look forward each year to having our distinguished alumni act as judges for the Program, and hope this year you will take the opportunity to participate and meet our students. If you would like to judge, please register. If you would like more information about the Program or about serving as an alumni judge, please contact Sonali Munshi.

Welcome Michelle Jackson, New Director of Diversity Education and Outreach
Michelle Jackson joined Northwestern Law as Director of Diversity Education and Outreach last month. Jackson is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, and her impressive legal career has included work in law firms, government service, and legal education. While in legal education, Jackson has held positions in career services, and has served as the ADA Coordinator, the Title IX Coordinator, and the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor—most recently at the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "This is a critical time for our Law School and its diversity efforts going forward. I know I join with Michelle in saying that the input, participation, and activism of our community is essential in keeping our Law School, and our community, moving forward as a place in which all members of our diverse community can pursue their goals and dreams with respect, with support, and with unwavering commitment. We expect and will tolerate nothing less," said Dean Daniel B. Rodriguez, "I ask the Northwestern Law community to join me in welcoming Michelle."
