New Scholarship Recognizes African American History and Culture
Last month, the Law School announced the establishment of the African American History and Culture Endowed Scholarship. Nine African American alumni generously donated over $400,000 for the first of its kind scholarship to enhance the Law School's efforts to recruit a more diverse student body and foster an inclusive and socially engaged academic community. Reva Siegel to Give Rosenthal Lecture Series on "Reproductive Justice in the Age of Trump"
Northwestern Law is proud to welcome Professor Reva Siegel as the speaker for the 2019 Julius Rosenthal Lecture Series, April 8-10. The "Reproductive Justice in the Age of Trump" lectures will discuss the changing landscape of sexual and reproductive rights under the Trump Administration, with a specific focus on the current composition of the Supreme Court. Siegel, the Nicholas deB. Katzenbach Professor of Law at Yale Law School, will respond to conflicts over pregnancy discrimination, abortion, contraception, and assisted reproductive technologies. Courtney D. Armstrong to Address Class of 2019
Northwestern Law is thrilled to announce that Courtney D. Armstrong (BS '93, JD '97, MBA '97) will deliver the main convocation address to the Class of 2019. Convocation will be held Friday, May 17 at the Chicago Theatre. Armstrong is executive vice president of worldwide business affairs for Warner Bros. Pictures. He is a dedicated member of the Law Board, and won the Northwestern Alumni Medal in 2018. More...

USPTO Midwest Regional Seminar for Intellectual Property Professionals
Join the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and Northwestern Law for a Chicago Regional Seminar designed for IP practitioners on Thursday, April 18. The afternoon session welcomes IP Practitioners for presentations and panel discussions including information on patent application readiness, the new 101 guidelines, patent quality, and ethics and profession practices.
