New Northwestern Law Faculty Member Candice Player Focuses on Law and the Mental Health System
Northwestern Law is excited to introduce Candice Player, one of its newest faculty members, to the Law School community. Player's research focuses on community mental health care, and she brings with her a wealth of academic experience with a JD and PhD in ethics and health policy from Harvard, and an MPhil in criminology from Cambridge University. "The Last Supper": Professor Rob Owen on how Art Illuminates the Law
The Mary and Leigh Block Museum of Art in Evanston partnered with Northwestern Law to develop a slate of programming around their current exhibit "The Last Supper: 600 Plates Illustrating Final Meals of U.S. Death Row Inmates". Professor Rob Owen and the Center on Wrongful Convictions provided context and generated a dialogue about the death penalty that the Block Museum found vital to the exhibit. More...

This summer, Northwestern Law invites you to renew your connection with the Law School. Bar Exam Recap
For the first time, Northwestern Law Alumni Relations was on-site supporting our newest alumni taking the Illinois State Bar exam on July 28. We provided breakfast, coffee, lunch, snacks and overall encouragement. We were also excited to host a post-bar rooftop party—enjoyed by alumni, faculty and friends—to celebrate our alumni completing the bar exam.
Denver Club Kick-Off Recap
Northwestern Law is expanding its Alumni Clubs program! The newest club in Denver kicked off on July 21st with Dean Daniel Rodriguez and over forty Denver-area alumni. The club offers a variety of resources including providing alumni access to a trusted personal and professional network, creating meaningful opportunities for intellectual engagement, and presenting volunteer roles that support the Law School in Denver and beyond.
