Center on Wrongful Convictions Celebrates 15 Year Anniversary
The Bluhm Legal Clinic's Center on Wrongful Convictions will celebrate its 15th anniversary on November 14 with an annual benefit at Salvage One in Chicago. This year's celebration will feature the success stories of recently exonerated CWC clients Nicole Harris, Andrew Davis, Kristine Bunch, and Daniel Taylor. The CWC will present the Jane B. Abramson Award to the production teams behind the groundbreaking documentaries West of Memphis and The Central Park Five, and the Jenner & Block Award to Illinois State Representative Scott Drury. 19th Annual SFPIF Auction
The annual Student Funded Public Interest Fellowship (SFPIF) auction will be held on Thursday, November 14, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Law School Atrium. This year's auction will feature a networking reception and both silent and live auction items. The proceeds will go to the Len Rubinowitz Public Interest Fellowships, which are awarded to students with summer jobs in public interest or government. Attendees are able to RSVP online. Behavioral Aspects of Contracts with Zev Eigen in New York City- November 14
New York Alumni are invited to attend a faculty presentation with Zev Eigen at Fried Frank on November 14. Eigen, who was recently named one of Chicago's 40 Under 40 by the National Law Journal, will discuss the results of an online behavioral experiment that systematically tested the relative effectiveness of terms and conditions as compared to other viable alternative frames.
