Northwestern Law’s Bartlit Center Trial Team – Andrew Crowder JD ‘12, Clare Diegel JD ‘12, Sara Whitaker JD ‘12, and Karim Basaria JD ‘12 – recently competed in the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) Tournament of Champions and went undefeated in the preliminary rounds, beating teams from Stanford, Wisconsin, Stetson, and Duquesne.
In addition to Northwestern’s silver medal, Crowder was named the tournament’s Outstanding Advocate.
Northwestern then defeated Loyola Chicago in the semi-final, before losing narrowly (by a 3-2 vote) to Cumberland Law School in the championship round.
This tournament is the most selective invitational competition in the United States and every one of the sixteen teams at the Tournament of Champions had recently won at least one other tournament.
