Northwestern Law will host the Illinois Supreme Court Candidates Forum on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at 5 p.m. in Thorne Auditorium at 375 East Chicago Avenue, which will be an opportunity for law students, faculty, and the public to learn about the candidates, their experience, and their platforms.
The format of the forum which will be moderated by Clinical Assistant Professors Juliet Sorenson and Jeff Urdangen will consist of a series of questions posed to the candidates. After a candidate’s response, other candidates will also have the opportunity to respond. The final portion of the forum will be reserved for questions from the audience.
Featured candidates include Justices Joy Cunningham, Auriela Pucinski, Mary Jane Theis and Judge James G. Riley. This event is co-sponsored by the NULS Chapters of the American Constitution Society and the Federalist Society. Following the forum there will be a reception in the Law School Atrium.
