Northwestern Law Celebrates Diversity with Global Village

February 25, 2014

Northwestern Law will hold its 9th annual Global Village, a celebration of the many diverse cultures of the Law School, on Friday, February 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the Law School Atrium.

One of the largest and most popular annual community events held at the Law School, Global Village brings together students, staff, faculty — and their families — to enjoy a night of food, drink, entertainment, and music from around the world.

This year’s celebration will feature prepared food from more than 25 countries as well as student performances showcasing cultural traditions of Brazil, China, Colombia, Greece, India, Jamaica, South Korea, and Thailand. Event organizers estimate that more than 700 participants will attend the celebration.

Global Village is one of many examples of Northwestern Law’s continued commitment to sharing and celebrating the cultures of our international students at the Law School.  The event is a collaborative effort between LLM and JD students, the International Programs Office, the Student Bar Association International Committee, Diversity Coalition, and a majority of the Law School’s student groups.
