Welcome Tel Aviv Executive LLM Students

July 18, 2016

Northwestern Pritzker School of Law is pleased to welcome 31 students from its Executive LLM Tel Aviv program who will begin a month-long stay in Chicago on July 18.

The group began their studies in Israel in February, and will graduate in early 2018. While at Northwestern Law, they will participate in various public law courses including criminal procedure, international human rights, negotiations and regulatory law.

The program, which is offered jointly with Tel Aviv University, celebrated its ten-year anniversary earlier this year. James Speta—who is Class of 1940 Research Professor of Law, senior associate dean for academic affairs and international initiatives, and director of Executive LLM program—traveled to Tel Aviv in May to celebrate with current students and alumni. He stayed for the Class of 2016’s graduation festivities.

“These graduates now join hundreds of other alumni of the Executive LLM Tel Aviv Program, along with the tens of thousands of Northwestern Pritzker Law School graduates worldwide,” Speta said. “We are very happy to welcome them into our alumni community and wish them continued success.”

“Over the last 10 years, nearly 350 students have participated in the dual degree program and we are proud that they continue to serve in the Israeli legal community as judges, scholars, veterans, professors and attorneys in the public law sector.”
