Off-Campus Interview
Off-campus interviews with a Northwestern Pritzker School of Law alumni interviewer are only available to JD program applicants. Off-campus interviews are available in most US metropolitan areas as well as a number of foreign locations. These interviews are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To request an off-campus interview, you must first submit your electronic application for admission and indicate your desire to have an off-campus interview in the interviewing section (question #11) of the application. You may submit your electronic application for admission before your Credential Assembly Service (CAS) report is available. In fact, we urge applicants to proceed in this fashion in order to avoid any delays in the interview assignment process.
Once you have submitted your electronic application for admission and you have requested an off-campus interview, you will be assigned to an alumni interviewer. You will be notified by e-mail when this assignment has been made.
After you receive your off-campus interview assignment and have scheduled an appointment with your alumni interviewer, you must login to the Off-Campus Interview Portal and report your interview date. It is your responsibility, not your interviewer's, to report your interview date to the Admissions Committee in this manner.

Helpful Information for Off-Campus Interviews with Alumni
- In the Interview section of the LSAC application for admission, you will have the opportunity to type your preferred interview location.
- Several off-campus interview locations will become fully booked before December.
- We attempt to assign applicants to alumni interviewers working within a 75-mile radius of their requested location.
- Please allow approximately three weeks to receive your interviewer's contact information.
- Interviews are typically conducted at the alumni interviewer's place of business during work hours.
- Specific off-campus interview times or dates cannot be guaranteed, as our alumni interviewers are extremely busy. Exact dates for off-campus interviews are established between the applicant and the alumni interviewer. If you must interview on a particular date or time, you should consider interviewing on-campus or via our online video interview platform instead.

During the off-campus interview season, September 1st through January 30th, our Off-Campus Interview Portal (below) will be active.
