Online Video Interview

JD and LLM program applicants are encouraged to participate in an online video interview. The Admissions Committee is excited to meet you virtually, through the medium of online video interviewing. Members of the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law community have recorded questions so you may gain a better sense of our culture and values.  During the interview season, September 1st through February 15th, you must request an online video interview within our application.  After you have submitted your application, a member of our staff will send you a link to the online video portal.

The process is simple - You need an Internet-connected device with a functioning webcam and microphone. We recommend that you utilize a computer (rather than a phone or a tablet) to conduct the online video interview. You will be asked a series of questions, given prep time, and a set amount of time to respond to each question. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete your interview and may be done at your convenience.  The system allows for unlimited practice sessions but once you begin the formal interview questions, you will only get one chance; this allows the Admissions Committee to see your candid responses.

Once you have been invited to the online video interview, you will have 15 business days to complete your submission. If you do not complete your online video interview within this time frame, your application will move forward without an interview.
