On-Campus Interview
Through this site, you will be able to choose an available time slot to conduct your on-campus interview with a member of our Admissions team. Interviews are strongly recommended as part of the application process for Northwestern Law. Starting in early September, on-campus interviews will be available every weekday except Wednesdays and university holidays through March 1, 2013. Additional on-campus interviewing slots will be added periodically throughout the cycle so we recommend checking availability regularly.
If you complete an interview, your application will not be reviewed until your interview results are available.
1) Plan on arriving to the Admissions Office at least 10 minutes prior to your interview so you have adequate time to complete the pre-interview check-in process.
2) All cancellations or rescheduling must be completed through the online scheduler. If you must cancel your interview less than 24 hours prior to your appointment, please contact the Admissions Office immediately at 312-503-8465.
3) If you are applying through the binding Early Decision program, you are required to complete an on-campus interview prior to November 15.
4) If you are applying to the Accelerated JD program, the deadline to complete your on-campus interview is December 15.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We cannot accommodate interviews that are not accurately scheduled. To confirm your appointment was scheduled correctly, we strongly suggest exiting and logging back into the online scheduler so you can view the appointment.
If you have indicated on your admissions application that you have no intent to interview and you are now electing to schedule an interview, you must write to our office at admissions@law.northwestern.edu, indicating you want your application held until your interview occurs. Failure to inform us in writing will result in an admissions decision prior to your interview.
Please visit our On-Campus Interview Request site to proceed with scheduling your interview.
After scheduling an interview, you may have some additional questions. Please view our FAQ and take note of the helpful tips below.
What is the dress code?
It is best to treat the admissions interview just as you would a job interview. Dress professionally, not in something as casual as jeans and a t-shirt.
Where is Northwestern Law located?
We are located at 375 E Chicago Avenue on Northwestern University's Chicago Campus.
Will I know who my interviewer is ahead of time?
Unfortunately, we do not disclose the names of our interviewers prior to the interview.
