Apply for Financial Aid
Northwestern Law applicants are encouraged to complete the financial aid application process well in advance of the priority deadlines. Students who submit completed financial aid applications by the priority deadline will be considered for all forms of financial aid. Late filers will still be considered for financial aid, but may not qualify for all programs based on the availability of funds.
Students must reapply for financial aid each year. It is essential that applicants provide complete and accurate information on all required forms to avoid processing delays. All information is kept strictly confidential.
To be considered for financial aid at Northwestern Law, the following documents are required:
- 2006-07 University Aid Application (pdf)
You must submit the most current application. Forms from previous years will not be accepted.
- 2006-07 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The FAFSA is available for submission after January 1. Northwestern's federal school code is 001739. Paper applications are available in the Office of Financial Aid.
- Student's (and Spouse's) 2005 Federal Income Tax Return
Include signed copies of all schedules and W-2 forms.
International Students
All i nternational students applying for financial aid are only required to submit the 2006-07 University Aid Application. International students should refer to External Resources for more information about external funding.
Priority Deadlines
Applicants must submit all financial aid documents according to the following schedule:

Applications received after the priority deadline will still be considered for financial aid but may not qualify for all programs, depending on availability of funds.
