E-mail for Life
What is e-mail forwarding?
This is a service that will give you an e-mail address that allows you to forward e-mail to an account of your choosing (e.g. a yahoo.com account, a hotmail.com account, your work e-mail account, etc.) This e-mail forwarding account will allow you to keep the alias@law.northwestern.edu in use after you have graduated. Your friends, family, and colleagues will always know how to contact you.
How do I get an account?
Complete the E-mail for Life Form. After submitting your information, your e-mail account will be functioning within two business days.
Is this secure?
This is a secure process in which messages are only forwarded and never opened.
What is my e-mail account going to be?
It will be your current e-mail address
(i.e. a-student@law.northwestern.edu).
What if I don't remember or don't have a Northwestern Law School e-mail account?
Go to the form listed above. When asked for your alias use this format:
FirstInitial-LastNameYearofGraduation
(For example, if your name were James Smith and you were in the Class of 1969, your alias would be j-smith1969).
Where do I go for help?
If you need assistance with e-mail forwarding call the IT department at (312) 503-7000.
