Employers who recruit on-campus during the fall, before the event, are cordially invited to attend our annual Meet the Employers Night every spring. This event is a great marketing opportunity for employers to introduce their firms or organizations to first-year students. Meet the Employers Night will take place on March 3, 2009.
Throughout the year, the Career Strategy Center hosts a myriad of programs designed to help students identify specific career paths; improve job search, interviewing, and networking skills; and navigate the legal recruiting marketplace. Past programs have included panels introducing students to common legal practice areas; judicial clerkship discussions; and other programs, such as "Researching Employers and Networking" and "Overcoming Market Challenges and Managing Your Career." If you would like to participate in one of these panels, please contact David Diamond.
If you or your employer is interested in reaching out to Northwestern Law students by hosting a panel or reception, please contact Valerie E. Krasnoff, Associate Director, Firm and Corporate Sponsors.
The Career Strategy Center offers mock interview programs to help students hone their interviewing skills. In the winter, there is a Mock Interview Program for first-year students to assist in preparation for Winter OCI and self-directed employment searches. To become a mock interviewer, please contact David Diamond.
This program pairs current law students with Northwestern Law alumni who have agreed to conduct one-on-one mock interviews and feedback sessions with students in the summer and early fall. If you would like to participate in this valuable program, please fill out this form.
Our Summer Business Intern Program will present interns who are highly motivated to gain exposure to actual legal and business challenges. The program has two distinct levels of student exposure and business participation.
Each year, Northwestern Law invites its LLM and JD alumni who are working abroad to participate in the Summer Global Intern Program. Participating alums partner with the Law School to provide opportunities for our first- and second-year JD students to get first-hand global legal experience in private law firms or legal departments of businesses.
