Fall 2009 August OCI (August OCI) at Northwestern Law begins on Monday, August 10 and ends Wednesday, August 19. Information regarding Fall 2009 September OCI (September OCI) will be coming soon. As you conduct your job search, remember that OCI is only one means of securing employment. Be sure to talk with your Career Advisor about all the ways to find the right job for you.
Getting Started
We use Symplicity (http://www.law.northwestern.edu/symplicity) to manage all aspects of our OCI process. For Symplicity instructions, please review our Symplicity Student Manual (pdf)

- Have attended our spring OCI Orientation program.
- Update your student profile in Symplicity;
- Enter any times you will not be available to interview during OCI;
- Upload your one (1) page resume;
- Complete the online Summer Job Survey (available late-June); and
- Submit your bids, through Symplicity, by 11:59 p.m. (Central) on July 22.
Date Event June 1 List of employers participating in August OCI is viewable in Symplicity July 1 August OCI bidding begins at 9:00 a.m. July 1 Off-Campus Recruiting Program (OCRP) bidding begins at 11:00 a.m. July 17 OCRP bidding ends at 4:00 p.m. July 22 Summer Job Survey must be submitted by 5:00 p.m.

Resume Request Program
In addition to the numerous employers that interview during OCI, a large number of employers will collect application materials through our Resume Request Program. Deadlines are on a rolling basis, so be sure to check Symplicity regularly. Off-Campus Recruitment Program (OCRP)
Each fall, in conjunction with several other law schools, Northwestern Law participates in a series of off-campus job fairs, referred to as our Off-Campus Recruitment Program (OCRP). This year, OCRP job fairs will be conducted in Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. NALP Recruitment Guidelines
In order to ensure a fair recruiting process for students and employers, NALP has set forth principles and standards by which schools, students, and employers are expected to adhere.
