ABA SILP
International Internship Program (pdf)
An international internship program offering law students the opportunity
to intern in European countries in European law firms, practicing international
law.
Dean Acheson Legal
Stage Program (pdf) Updated 4/26/05
Northwestern Law has been selected to participate in the Dean Acheson Legal
Stage Program at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. There
are four different types of stages, each lasting a minimum of three months,
during the fall and spring terms of the court. Priority will be given to applicants
who have completed three years of law school and who have a strong knowledge
of Community Law. Some knowledge of French is essential, and only applicants
with the right to work in the United States will be considered.
International Lawyers Conference Presentations
Presentations developed by foreign lawyers who are LLM and LLM/Kellogg students
provide brief overviews of the legal profession, legal education, and professional
regulation in eight foreign jurisdictions:

This site has a database of jobs and volunteer opportunities, both law-related
and other, with more than 20,000 non-profit organizations in more than 140
countries. It is searchable by subject matter, country, type of position,
and other categories.
PSLawNet
In addition to its listing of domestic public interest law positions, PSLawNet
has an excellent data base of international positions. Northwestern Law pays
dues to allow its students access to this comprehensive listing of public
interest legal jobs. Register as a Northwestern student, make up a user name
and a password, and start searching.
Human Rights Internet
This site lists positions, both law-related and other, in human rights organizations
around the world.
