Free Speech and the McCarthy Era A survey of contemporary theories of free speech and their applications to specific controversial issues, notably defamation, hate speech, obscenity, and advertising.
With professor signature, students may add an hour of credit for a two draft paper.
Prerequisite: basic course in the First Amendment or permission of one of the instructors.
