Alumni Coaching Program

The Center for Career Strategy and Advancement offers the Alumni Coaching Program (ACP) each summer. This program matches law students with Northwestern Law alumni who have volunteered to conduct mock interviews over the summer and fall. The ACP is an excellent way to further develop interviewing and networking skills that will be invaluable to you throughout your career.

How the Program Works
After you sign up to participate in the ACP, we will make an effort to match you with an alumni coach based first upon your geographic preference, and then according to employer type/size and practice area. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be matched with an alum who meets all or any of your interests.

Once the match is completed, we will notify you so that you can access your coach's contact information online. At that point, it is your responsibility to contact your alumni coach to arrange the logistics of your mock interview, including sending your resume to your coach in advance and coordinating a mutually convenient time and place to meet. To provide you with the most constructive feedback, mock interviews should take place in person.

Because the number of alumni volunteered hours is limited, mock interviews will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis. While we will make every effort to ensure that any student who wants to participate in this program can, there is no guarantee that you will receive a mock interview.

Please contact David Diamond (david-diamond@law.northwestern.edu or 312-503-0661) with any questions or feedback regarding the program.
