Details: Jan Crawford is the chief legal correspondent for CBS News covering law and politics for its news programs CBS Evening News Face the Nation Early Show, and CBS News Sunday Morning Although known primarily as a journalist she is also a member of the New York Bar. She was previously a correspondent for ABC News who covered law and politics. She also served as the Supreme Court analyst for the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS and was the chief legal affairs writer for the Chicago Tribune. She has covered the Supreme Court for twelve years and has had extensive interviews with most of the nine justices. With high-level sources inside the White House, the Justice Department and on Capitol Hill, Greenburg has gained unique access to the leading players in the confirmation battles. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and has an undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama.

Tony Mauro is Supreme Court correspondent for Legal Times, American Lawyer Media and law.com. He joined ALM in January 2000 after covering the Supreme Court for USA TODAY and Gannett News Service for the previous 20 years. Mauro is also a legal correspondent for the First Amendment Center. He is the author of Illustrated Great Decisions of the Supreme Court, published in its second edition in December 2005 by Congressional Quarterly Press. He also has written several law review articles and contributed chapters to four books: A Year in the Life of the Supreme Court, which received the American Bar Association's Silver Gavel Award; Reason and Passion, on Justice William Brennan Jr.; The Burger Court, edited by Bernard Schwartz, and A Year at the Supreme Court. Mauro’s 1998 stories on Supreme Court law clerks won a certificate of merit from the American Bar Association. In March 2001 and November 2005, Washingtonian magazine included Mauro on its list of the top 50 journalists in Washington. Mauro also serves on the steering committee of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and the advisory board of the World Press Freedom Committee.

Leadership in Education, Justice, and Legal Reform
The Bluhm Legal Clinic trains law students to be skilled, ethical, and reform-minded professionals. In addition to learning lawyering skills such as interviewing, counseling, negotiating, writing, and appellate and trial advocacy, students are urged to scrutinize the quality of justice. Work done by Bluhm Legal Clinic students, faculty, and staff often contributes to reform initiatives arising from representation of individuals and groups.

Bluhm Legal Clinic's New Facility

All of the centers in the Bluhm Legal Clinic have moved to new space on the 8th floor of Rubloff. The 22,000-square foot space includes offices for more than 30 clinical faculty members, an improved reception area, a secured file room, a number of meeting and conference rooms, and a training room equipped with smart technology. The new clinic space also features an expansive student work area that overlooks Lake Michigan. More...
