More… MLK Day Celebration Northwestern’s Chicago campus has expanded its annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration into a weeklong commemoration. The Martin Luther King Jr. Lecture Series runs January 12-19 and includes public service projects and lunchtime panel discussions centered on the theme of race and politics. The series concludes on MLK Day, January 19, with a keynote presentation by acclaimed anti-racism writer Tim Wise. More… Call for Reunion Committee Volunteers Reunion celebrations provide an opportunity to reconnect with classmates and renew old friendships. Reunion committee members participate in planning meetings and help reach out to encourage classmates to attend Reunion Weekend. We are fortunate that the majority of our second- and third-year students have jobs for the summer and after graduation. The financial crisis, however, has left a larger number of our students in the market at this time than in recent years. If you are aware of open positions in your organization or elsewhere, please pass them on to Bill Chamberlain, assistant dean and director of the Center for Career Strategy and Advancement (w-chamberlain@law.northwestern.edu). In addition, if you are in a position to hire a student, the Center would be happy to forward you the resumes of interested students. The Center is also interested in locating summer positions where there may be no promise of a permanent offer at the end of the summer and permanent positions that are part-time or contract, as well as full-time.
