CENTER FOR CAREER STRATEGY AND ADVANCEMENT TO DISCUSS TODAY'S LEGAL EMPLOYMENT MARKETS
A panel presentation, "The State of the Market," will take place Thursday, February 27 from 12:15 to 1:15 at the Law School in Strawn Hall. The event is open to students and alumni. Panelists include recruiters from Major, Hagen & Africa, Legalpeople, and a labor economist from the Federal Reserve Bank. Topic: how does the economy affect what's going on in legal employment, particularly in the Midwest, New York, and California markets. To learn more about the panel, click here.

NEW BOOK EXAMINES CONTEMPORARY FEMINIST CRITICISMS OF WOMEN'S CHOICES
In her new book, Perfectionism and Contemporary Feminists Values (Indiana University Press, 2003), Kimberly A. Yuracko, assistant professor of law, examines the reasons contemporary feminists give for criticizing certain choices women make. She believes that often feminists recognize the need to criticize women's choices, but they focus on the conditions under which choices are made rather than the choices themselves. STUDENTS HEAD ABROAD TO LEARN LESSONS IN LAW
During the Law School's two-week spring break, March 17-28, 93 students and 7 faculty members participating in International Team Projects (ITP) will head abroad to learn about the role of law and legal institutions, as well as the cultural, political, and economic systems of five foreign countries. This year groups of about 15-20 will visit Brazil, Cuba, Russia, Uganda, and Vietnam. To learn more about ITP, click here.
