2013 Pope and John Lecture Series8th Annual Entrepreneurship Law Conference, March 9
The Bluhm Legal Clinic's Entrepreneurship Law Center will host their 8th annual conference on Saturday, March 9, at the Law School. Designed to provide practical, relevant information about various legal issues that entrepreneurs face, the conference will include panel discussions on topics such as entity selection, founder agreements, venture and angel financing, intellectual property, and employment issues. J.B. Pritzker JD '93, the 2013 Distinguished Entrepreneur award recipient, will serve as the keynote speaker for the conference. Read more...

Conference: Rethinking 'Shareholder Value' and the Purpose of the Corporation, March 7-8
Northwestern Law alumni and peers are invited to attend the Kellogg School of Management and Aspen Institute Business and Society Conference on March 7-8. The two-day conference will bring together leading experts in academia and business to discuss how corporations can respond to the competing pressures of shareholder value maximization and social responsibility. Judges Needed for Arlyn Miner Moot Court Program
Judges are needed for the oral arguments at the noncompetitive 2013 Arlyn Miner Moot Court. The program will be held April 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17. Save the Date: Trienens Visiting Judicial Scholar
The Honorable Guido Calabresi, of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, will visit Northwestern Law on April 8-9, 2013, as the Howard J. Trienens Visiting Judicial Scholar. Judge Calabresi will deliver a community lecture on Tuesday, April 9 at 4:00 PM at the Law School followed by a community reception. Registration to follow.
