Career Webinar to Help Alumni Navigate Legal Job Market
The Center for Career Strategy and the Office of Alumni Relations will host an alumni-oriented career webinar on Tuesday, March 15, from Noon to 1 p.m. CST The webinar will feature an updated snapshot of the legal job market as well as job search strategies for the Northwestern Law alumni community. Northwestern Law Included in U.S. News Ranking of Law Schools by Top Law Firms
U.S. News and World Report has just released its first ever ranking of law schools by the recruiting leaders of several of the nation's top law firms. Northwestern Law is ranked in a tie for 8th place.

The complete ranking, which includes 27 law schools, and the accompanying story can be found on the U.S. News and World Report web site.

The Northwestern JD-MBA Association Presents an Evening with Nicholas D. Chabraja
The Northwestern JD-MBA Association presents a discussion with alumnus Nicholas D. Chabraja JD '67, retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of General Dynamics Corporation. The discussion will take place on April 4, at 5:15 p.m. in the Owen L. Coon Auditorium at the Kellogg School of Management located at 2001 Sheridan Road, Evanston. The event is open to the public. Northwestern Law Alumni to be Honored at SFPIF Public Service Benefit Dinner
Six Northwestern law alumni will be honored for their commitment to public service at the Student Funded Public Interest Fellowships' 8th Annual Public Service Benefit Dinner on April 7 at the Law School.

Honorees, which will be recognized for their contributions to public service and the legal community, include Wendy Meltzer JD '74, Flint Taylor JD '72, Angela Vigil JD '95, Jay Monteverde JD '06, Renai Rodney JD '04, and Lizzie Rosenthal JD '05.

Attend the "LinkedIn Basics" and "LinkedIn Advanced" Webinars!
As a follow-up to our successful January "Intro to LinkedIn" webinar, the Northwestern Law Alumni Association is pleased to offer the next steps in LinkedIn networking with Presenter David J.P. Fisher. Join us on Tuesday, April 19, at Noon CST for "LinkedIn Basics," where you'll explore the different functions of the site, learn how the site can help you advance your career and learn how to effectively manage the LinkedIn tools.

Then on Thursday, April 21, at Noon CST, Fisher will present the "LinkedIn Advanced" webinar with instruction on how to effectively leverage the site and how to use it in your daily professional life. He will also teach key advanced functions for finding connections, develop personal branding and how to use LinkedIn to the fullest of its extent.

This conference will take place on April 28 and 29 at Law School and is the only Midwest conference that brings together senior officials from the Securities and Exchange Commission and leading securities practitioners.
