The Honorable Eric H. Holder Jr., Attorney General of the United States, visited Northwestern Law on Monday, March 5, to deliver a major policy speech to an audience of faculty, staff, and students. That National Law Journal has tabbed Northwestern Law School as the nation's No. 2 "go-to" law school in its just released 2012 rankings. This annual NLJ listing identifies the 50 law schools with the highest percentage of 2011 JD graduates hired by NLJ 250 law firms. With this most recent result the Law School has ranked in the top five on this measure for five of the past six years. Read More
Northwestern Law is partnering with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) in an effort to update alumni contact information and produce a new printed alumni directory. Over the next couple of months, PCI will be contacting Northwestern Law alumni via mail, phone, and e-mail to request that you update your information. Once information is updated, alumni will have the opportunity to purchase a printed directory. Read More
Judge Alex Kozinski, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, will visit the Law School on March 28 as the 2012 Trienens Visiting Judicial Scholar. The lecture will be held at 4 p.m. in the Law School, followed by a reception in the Atrium. Register
In April, the Law School will hold a ceremony to recognize professors Tom Geraghty, Jonathan Koehler and John McGinnis who will be named to chaired professorships. Dan Rodriguez will also be installed as the dean of Northwestern Law and Harold Washington Professor at this ceremony.
