Dick Durbin of Illinois, the Senate's second highest ranking Democrat, will address graduates, parents, and guests at this year's Northwestern University School of Law graduation convocation Sunday, May 15. Apply for a Judicial Clerkship Under the Federal Law Clerk Hiring Plan for 2005, law school graduates may apply for federal clerkships earlier than law students, providing graduates with a significant advantage in hiring this year. Working for a judge can provide valuable insight into the legal system, the nature of the judicial process, and the business of being a lawyer. Consider taking a year or two off from your practice to take advantage of the significant clerkship opportunities available to law school graduates.
