Northwestern Law's Center on Wrongful Convictions has partnered with the University of Michigan Law School to launch the National Registry of Exonerations, the largest and most varied collection of exonerated cases ever assembled. The joint project profiles nearly 900 exonerations from January 1989 through the end of February 2012 with searchable data and summaries of the cases. On May 29, Dean Daniel B. Rodriguez was elected to serve on the Council of the American Law Institute (ALI). Dean Rodriguez joins an esteemed group of judges, lawyers and legal scholars on the council, which is the volunteer board of directors that governs the institute and oversees the management of ALI's business and affairs. This summer Northwestern Law has welcomed new incoming classes of LLM/K and AJD students. The 4th class of 28 AJD students enrolled in May and it is the first class to join the Law School since the faculty unanimously voted to officially ratify the AJD program in February. The LLM/K class of 2013 also began this month with 28 students representing 15 countries from around the world. Students from both programs bring extensive work, life and international experience from a variety of organizations and industries.
