Latest in Technology Brings Chicago Homicides and History to Life
Professor Leigh Bienen's research for the Chicago Historical Homicide Project, an extensive study of 11,000 recorded homicides in Chicago from 1870-1930, was made available to the public on a Web site in June at homicide.northwestern. edu . In addition to the database, the Web site also includes archival photos, historic news articles and crime reports, live interviews with contributors, and a volume of The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology featuring research based upon the police records.
