All alumni are invited to Alumni Community Day on Oct. 1 for a day of programming, including tours of the Law School, a workshop on networking with the Career Center, and the Bluhm Legal Clinic Open House. Dean Van Zandt: Welcome Back to Northwestern Law
Dean David Van Zandt welcomed new and returning students to the Law School during Orientation Week, August 21—28. Find out more about recent key developments at the Law School including upcoming events and activities, a visit from Justice Sonia Sotomayor, information on our incoming class, new faculty, upgraded facilities and our new Law Calendar in the dean's welcome letter.

In light of David Van Zandt’s appointment as the next President of the New School in January, the Law School is working closely with President Morty Schapiro, Provost Dan Linzer, and other University leaders regarding the transition and search processes. We will be sure to provide you with relevant updates on these processes as they occur.

The Pope & John Lecture Series on Professionalism
The HonorableAlexander M. Sanders Jr., former Chief Judge of the South Carolina Court of Appeals, will speak about “Real Life Case Studies in Political Correctness,” on September 29. The Pope & John Lecture Series is approved for 1.0 professionalism credit in the state of Illinois.If you would like to attend for credit, please contact Kristen Dorschel.

Career Advising
Northwestern Law is pleased to offer its alumni free access to career counseling for life. The alumni advisor for JD graduates is Hanna Stotland. If you hold an LLM from the Law School and would like to discuss making a career change, or if you would be willing to hear from other LLM. graduates or current LLM students for networking purposes, the Law School’s LLM career advisor would be happy to speak with you.
