Alumni Return to Campus for Reunion Weekend
Northwestern Law will welcome hundreds of alumni from the classes of 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, and 1999 back to campus for Reunion 2004. A variety of activities, designed to reconnect graduates with one another and with the Law School, will take place throughout the weekend. More...

Ceremony Celebrates Endowed Chair Appointments
An appointment to an endowed chair is the highlight of an academic career, and these important positions help us attract and retain faculty who set Northwestern Law apart. Alumni, faculty, students, and staff are invited to attend a ceremony and reception Oct. 29 at 12:15 p.m. to honor the installation of Robert W. Bennett as the Nathaniel L. Nathanson Professor of Law, Shari Seidman Diamond as the Howard J. Trienens Professor of Law, and Dorothy Roberts as the Kirkland & Ellis Professor of Law. More...

Bluhm Legal Clinic a Model for Clinical Programs Abroad
Dean Emmanuel Quansahe of the University of Botswana School of Law and Professor Getachew Assafa of the Addis Ababa University School of Law will visit the Bluhm Legal Clinic Oct. 10 -17 to seek ideas for establishing clinical programs at their law schools. Their visits are supported by Northwestern alums Russ (JD '61) and Peg Matthias (SESP '61). Russ and Peg also supported the visits of Adam Stapleton of Penal Reform International in Malawi and Dean Samuel Amoo of the University of Namibia School of Law. Mr. Stapleton visited Northwestern to discuss an up-coming conference in Malawi and Dean Amoo, who has recently established a clinic in Windhoek, Namibia, came to Northwestern to observe our clinical program.
