Join fellow alums at Northwestern Law on Friday, Oct. 12, for Alumni Community Day, a day-long celebration that includes tours of the law school and classes without quizzes. Professor Jack Heinz will be honored at a special retirement reception from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Guest speaker Jonathan Turley (JD '87), one of academia’s top legal scholars, will deliver a thought provoking talk at 6 p.m. Then enjoy festive music and food, catch up with classmates, and meet faculty at the Alumni Community Day Party in the tented courtyard from 7–8:30 p.m. More…

Pope & John Lecturer to Discuss Impact of Computers on Lawyers
Richard Marcus, Horace O. Coil Chair in Litigation at the University of California’s Hastings College of Law, will discuss the profound impact of computers on the legal world during this year’s Pope & John Lecture on Professionalism at Northwestern Law. His speech is entitled “The Impact of Computers on the Legal Profession: Evolution or Revolution?” and will take place at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, in Rubloff 140.
