Northwestern to Feature Play and Discussion on Historic 1920's Trial
Join in a discussion led by Northwestern law faculty and others closely examining the 1924 case, of which the play Never the Sinner is based. The John Logan play, recreates the 1924 trial of the century after Leopold and Loeb confessed to kidnapping and murdering a 14-year-old boy from Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood in their attempts to perform the perfect crime. Two discussions will be held on Fri, Oct 14 at 6:30pm and Sun, Oct 16 at 12:30pm in the Josephine Louis Theater which will discuss its central characters and a consideration of capital trial defense then and now. Both events are free and open to the public. The play will be at the Joesphine Louis Theater from October 14-23. Ticket information is available online. Discounts are available for Law School alumni - mention code NULAW and get $5 OFF TICKETS!
