Northwestern Law and the Kellogg School of Management received a $3 million gift from General Dynamics Corporation to support a special law and business professorship named after its retired chief executive officer and Northwestern alumnus Nicholas D. Chabraja (JD '67). The first of its type, the Nicholas D. Chabraja Professorship dually supports the School of Law and Kellogg, symbolizing the increasingly integrated fields of business and law. The 2009 Conference on Empirical Legal Studies (CELS) at the USC Gould School of Law November 20-21, will include 10 accepted papers by Northwestern Law affiliated authors (9 different authors). This number represents more papers per capita than any other school at the CELS this year. The authors are Kenworthey Bilz, Bernie Black, Andrea Chandrasekher, Claudia Landeo, Shirley Lin (JSD candidate), Tonja Jacobi, Jonathan Koehler, Kate Litvak, and Max Schanzenbach (2 papers).
