Yes, it's still cold and snowy outside, but before you know it, we'll be enjoying warm spring days and another season of Cubs baseball. And it's not to early to start looking forward to the Sesquicentennial office's Northwestern Night at Wrigley Field! Chicago CUBS vs. Cincinnati REDS TUESDAY, MAY 22, 2001* 7:05 p.m. game The evening will feature highlights including 7$ ticket price (wow! normal price is $18) Pre-game party at the Cubby Bear (possibly) Northwestern's President throwing out the first pitch (likely) Northwestern person singing the national anthem (know a talented singer?) Northwestern alum leading the 7th inning stretch (to be decided) Cubs catcher Joe Girardi, '86, wins game in amazing 11th inning play (ok I gotta talk to him about this first) I know May seems far off at this point, but it's very important that you begin thinking ahead for this event. We would love to have tons of Northwestern Law faculty, staff, students, alumni, family and friends there, and we need to order tickets by January 31. Although we are planning to buy a large block of seats, we can only guarantee enough tickets for everyone if you let us know in advance how many you will buy. So if you're interested, please e-mail Donna Kelly d-kelly2@law.northwestern.edu as soon possible before January 31, and let her know exactly how many tickets you want. Remember they're only $7, and you won't need to pay until later this spring. Wow what a deal! When the tickets come in we will e-mail all those who have responded. After they have bought their tickets we will begin selling any extras. GO CUBS! *May 22, 2000 is the evening before all Northwestern Law grades are due.
