As voted on by students, Jim Speta will receive this year’s Robert Childres Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence. Established in 1978, it is presented annually to a faculty member selected by the student body as the year’s most outstanding teacher.
At graduation convocation on May 6, SBA President Isaac Robinson will present the Childres Award and three other excellence in teaching awards to recognize outstanding faculty who teach small classes, faculty who teach first-year mandatory courses, and adjunct faculty.
Len Rubinowitz was selected by second-year, third-year, and graduate students, as this year’s Outstanding Professor of a Small Class. This is the fourth year in a row students have selected Len for this award.
Rob Sitkoff was selected by first-year students as this year’s Outstanding First-Year Course Professor. Rob has a common bond with our first-year students -- as it is their first year at Northwestern Law, it is also Rob’s first year teaching at the Law School.
Richard Levin was selected by second-year, third-year, and graduate students as this year’s Outstanding Adjunct Professor. Richard teaches Trial Advocacy at the Law School and is a partner at Pekin & Levin & Associates.
