Antoinette Kavanaugh
Antoinette Kavanaugh is co-director of the Cook County Juvenile Court Clinic (CCJCC). She holds a BA from Bowdoin College and a PhD in clinical psychology from Northwestern University. She has completed fellowships in Adolescent Psychology at Cook County Hospital and in Forensic Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She is a clinical psychologist licensed in Massachusetts and Illinois specializing in issues related to adolescents.
In her private practice Dr. Kavanaugh conducts evaluations of youth and adults who are involved in juvenile justice, criminal or civil matters and works as a consultant to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. She has also served as a consultant for national and international organizations including The National Judicial College, The Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana, and the American Bar Association's African Law Initiative Children's Rights Project. She also trains judges, lawyers, probation officers, and mental health clinicians on issues related to forensic assessments.
