Kevin Agnew is an Adjunct Professor in the Center on Negotiation and Mediation at Northwestern Law School. Kevin also works at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, where he runs their Career Coaching program as part of the firm’s global alumni engagement strategy. Kevin focuses his time working with attorneys to develop their professional brand and coaches them on career transition issues, including networking strategies, effective interviewing techniques, and salary negotiations. Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis, Kevin worked as the Assistant Director of Professional Development at DePaul University College of Law. Kevin joined DePaul after five years working as a litigation attorney in both the public and private sectors. He began his legal career at Latham & Watkins LLP, working on complex commercial litigation cases. After his time at Latham & Watkins, Kevin worked as the Assistant Regional Counsel for the Social Security Administration, where he handled federal district and circuit court appellate litigation matters.
Kevin is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law and was a member of the Law Review and the Northwestern Negotiations Team, where he and his partner were Regional Champions. He was the recipient of a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarship and earned his Master’s degree in International Politics from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Kevin received his Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Iowa, where he was also the men's gymnastics team captain.
