Monica Llorente is the director of the Children's Law Pro Bono Project of the Children and Family Justice Center, a project coordinator for the National Children's Law Network, and a Clinical Assistant Professor. As director of the Children's Law Pro Bono Project, she recruits, trains, mentors, and supports volunteer attorneys from Chicago area law firms in school and juvenile delinquency cases. As coordinator of the National Children's Law Network, she works on policy issues with eight child law clinics around the country committed to pro bono efforts and to improving the quality of counsel and representation provided to children. Finally, Monica represents children in juvenile delinquency proceedings in the Juvenile Court of Cook County and in school expulsion matters, and she supervises law students in these cases.
