Is a member of Ernst & Young's International Tax Services group in Chicago. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, he was the director of International Tax for Motorola Inc., where he also was the tax lead for Motorola's Mobile Devices business. His practice included all aspects of international tax planning. He has also served as the senior director of McDonald's Corporation's U.S. Tax Group, and as a tax associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom in Chicago. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and his undergraduate degree in accounting, with highest honors, from DePaul University in Chicago. He is a licensed certified public accountant and a member of the Illinois bar. Along with Mr. Surdell and Ms. Voortman, Mr. Pencak teaches Advanced International Corporate Tax Transactions.
