Is a partner in the Trust and Estates Department of Chapman and Cutler LLP. She represents individuals, charitable organizations, and corporate fiduciaries in a wide variety of estate planning and fiduciary administration matters, including general estate and income tax planning; probate practice; gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning; and retirement account and life insurance planning. She received her JD cum laude from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her LLM, Taxation, from DePaul University. Ms. Shier teaches Estate and Gift Taxation.
