William Golden is a former tax partner at Sidley and Austin in Chicago. He worked as partner for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Columbia University School of Law. Prior to entering private practice, he was a trial attorney for the Tax Division of the Department of Treasury, an Attorney Advisor in the Office of Tax Legislative Counsel of the Treasury Department, and an Associate Professor of Law at Indiana University. Mr. Golden has previously taught courses in taxation at the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Wisconsin. He teaches Tax Exempt Organizations.
