Sean Seymore joins the Northwestern Law faculty as a Visiting Assistant Professor for 2007-2008. Professor Seymore’s research focuses on how the patent law should evolve in response to advances in science. Prior to joining the law school faculty, Seymore was an associate in the patent practice group at Foley Hoag LLP in Boston. Before law school he was a chemistry professor. Seymore holds a BS in chemistry from the University of Tennessee, a MSChem from Georgia Tech, a PhD in chemistry from Notre Dame, and a JD from Notre Dame Law School. Professor Seymore is a member of the Massachusetts bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
