Firm and Corporate Alumni Challenge

Jay Gitles JD ‘87 picks up the award on behalf of Seyfarth Shaw, which placed first in the category for firms with over 25 Northwestern Law alumni (2008).

Firms and corporations with three or more Northwestern Law alumni can participate in the Firm & Corporate Alumni Challenge. The program builds upon the incredible generosity of the Northwestern Law community and helps the Law School sustain the quality of its programs and offerings.

By participating in the program, alumni benefit by building relationships with Northwestern Law and fellow alums. They also receive invitations to exclusive meetings with the dean. Firms and corporations benefit by enhancing their visibility at the Law School and increasing their recruitment profile with some of the best students in the country. Firms and corporations with the highest alumni participation receive special public recognition, and alumni donors at those firms are acknowledged and thanked for their support. In 2009, more than 550 alumni from more than eighty firms and corporations participated, and the dollars received comprised about 25% of Law School Fund total contributions.

Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott and Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, each with 100% participation - (firms with 7-15 alumni)
Holland & Knight with 60% participation - (firms with 16-24 alumni)
Baker & McKenzie with 81% participation - (firms with 25+ alumni)
BP America and HSBC, each with 100% participation - (corporate category)
