Screensaver and Wallpaper

Decorate your desktop and stay in touch with what's going on at Northwestern Law with your very own Northwestern Law wallpaper and screensaver. The screensaver scrolls the current announcements from EsqwireCentral, which are updated every fifteen minutes.

Choose the wallpaper and screensaver below that correspond to the resolution of your desktop. If you're not sure what that is, right-click on your desktop and go to "Properties," then "Settings." The most common settings are 800x600 or 1024x768 (most laptops are 1024x768.)

Download screensaver:

Screensaver for 1024 x 768 resolution

Installation: After downloading the screensaver, double-click it and follow the prompts to install.

If you have further questions on screensaver installation please contact Julie Phelan, webmaster, at 312-503-7000 or law-web@law.northwestern.edu.

Installation: Wallpaper installation varies by operating system. Installation on most Windows systems will work with one of the instructions below:

First, click on the link above and save the file (.bmp) somewhere on your computer. Then:
Method one: Right-click on your desktop, choose "Properties" and then "Background." If you see a "browse" button, browse to the wallpaper file you downloaded and select it.
Method two: If you don't find the browse button on your "Background" tab (see Method one), you will probably need to save the wallpaper into the area on your computer where the system wallpaper is saved (in Windows systems this is often the c:\WINDOWS or c:\WINNT folder.) Save the wallpaper there, then go back into the "Background" tab and select it from the list of patterns displayed (the wallpaper should now show up in this list -- it will start with "nlaw---".)

If you have further questions on wallpaper installation please contact the vendor of your computer's operating system (or, if you are in the Dell program, come to Information Technology -- 312-503-7000 or stop by McCormick B71.)
