Personal sites for staff, students and faculty
The University offers space on its servers for faculty, staff, and students to create personal web pages. Visit the Pubweb site for more information.Student Organization sites
Student groups wishing to develop a site for their organization should begin by going to the Information on and request for student organization Web site page. Groups may contact the Law web developer if they have further questions.Student group web masters should be familiar with these Student Organization Web Page Guidelines . Journals should note the information specifically on Journal sites in the Guidelines.
Faculty
Dreamweaver and Adobe Acrobat software are available for faculty. Contact contact the webmaster or Administrative Services for Dreamweaver or Acrobat installation.Departmental Sites
Visit the Communications and Marketing Web site for information on creating and maintaining departmental Web sites.
Web Software
Dreamweaver, which must be used for departmental sites, can be installed on a departmental machine by the IT department. There is no home provision for Dreamweaver software. Students, or those who are not using university machines, can purchase Dreamweaver online at JourneyEd.com for about $110 (includes CD and book.)
Adobe Acrobat is also available for installation on a departmental machine for about $60 or can be purchased at JourneyEd.com for about $100. Contact the webmaster to request departmental Dreamweaver or Acrobat installation.
Web Training
Dreamweaver
training is offered through Northwestern University's Human Resources
department. Photoshop
training is also available for those who work on graphics or photographs.
