Northwestern University School of Law: Atrocity Crimes Litigation Year-in-Review

Presented in conjunction with the Northwestern University Center for International Human Rights.

This half-day conference will provide a forum for a global review of the most influential atrocity crimes litigation of 2007. Ongoing litigation and decided cases from the International Criminal Court and all UN ad-hoc and mixed tribunals will be the subject of debate and discussion. The Conference will be attended by Northwestern School of Law students and faculty as well as prominent members of the Chicago legal and global affairs community.

In conjunction with the event, the Journal of International Human Rights will publish a Symposium issue that will include Conference discussion and relevant articles to serve as a resource for academics and practitioners worldwide. Through the discourse of the most prominent panelists in the field, and the dissemination of this discourse worldwide, the annual event will become an integral part of the development of international justice.

The event will be moderated by Professor David Scheffer, Director of the Center for International Human Rights.
