Beginning February 28, 2014 the Law School, with University Facilities Management, began an ambitious project that will add a three-story addition to the Rubloff Atrium. The addition will include an improved and expanded café, a 25-seat state of the art classroom, four Library group study rooms and 50 additional student study seats. Additionally, we will renovate the circulation and reference areas in the Pritzker Legal Research Center and add heating and cooling capacity to the existing Rubloff Atrium.
The project is slated to be complete in March 2015.
The purpose of this site is to help the community keep abreast of the project (updates on work tasks and notifications on changes to access to the Atrium, for example). Our announcements section will be updated regularly with work notices, access changes, and other need-to-know information about the continuing construction.
Additionally, we'll be releasing regular video content highlighting the progress of the work and our vision for the completed space.
Get an inside look on the manufacturing process for the atrium expansion project posted on our glass vendors website.
