Northwestern Law Home

We are OUTLaw, Northwestern Law's social and advocacy organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students. We also welcome allies who are interested in LGBT issues and working to maintain Northwestern Law's welcoming climate for all students.

Our goals are to promote visibility of LGBT legal issues within the law school community, foster community among Northwestern Law's LGBT students, and provide opportunities for LGBT students to network with supportive legal professionals.

We maintain an active presence at Northwestern through a variety of programming, such as:

• OUTLaw Week: A week of panels events we put on for the entire school, focused on LGBT issues.
• "Tea With…" Series: A series of small group discussions with professors about their scholarship and how it relates to LGBT issues.
• Social Outings including "Meet the Bar," a monthly bar night for Chicago-area legal professionals sponsored by the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago.
• Networking, Mentorship, and Scholarship Resources: Access to information about opportunities for LGBT law students.
