Printing/Opening MS Word Documents
MS Word documents | PDF files | Westlaw | LexisNexis
Here are several solutions; try them in this order:
- Open the document in a separate window if it appears in the Blackboard frame. Start from the link to the document, rather than the open document. (Click the browser's back button if you want to go from the open document to the link to the document.)
Right click on the link to the document, and then choose "Open in New Window."
- Save the document to a separate file, and then open it in MS Word. To save it as a separate document, start from the link to the document, rather than the open document. (Click the browser's back button if you want to go from the open document to the link to the document.) Right click on the link to the document, and then choose "Save Target As" (in Explorer) or "Save Link As" (in Navigator). Save the document to your desktop, H drive, or hard disk. You should be prompted to open the document after it saves. You should be able to open it and print it at that point. Alternatively, open MS Word, and open and print the document from there.
- In Explorer, you might also try to choose from your pull-down menus at the top of the screen: File > Print > Options. Make sure that the print options are set to the frame that you want to print.
- Another solution is to try Firefox, Navigator or another browser.
