Linking to LexisNexis Newspaper
- Step 1: For news articles on LexisNexis, choose the Any Source tab on LexisNexis Link Builder. Rather than a citation, you will need to enter a search; to locate a specific article title it is usually easiest to enter a search for the title.
Suppose you wanted to link to the May 28, 1997 New York Times article "Northwestern University Takes a Lead in Using the Internet to Add Sight and Sound to Courses." From the Any Source tab in Lexis Link Builder, you would enter the name of the Library (NEWS) and File (NYT), then enter a headline search for any unique combination of headline words, in order. Here, you could search headline(university takes a lead in using the Internet) because this string of words is unique in the New York Times database:
