Librarians offers the following courses:

  • Advanced Legal Research: Read Course Description
  • Advanced Electronic Legal Research: Read Course Description
  • Researching the Scholarly Paper: Helps students understand the process of researching and developing academic papers and is directed at students planning to write scholarly papers, whether for seminars; senior research, or for journal publication. Topics covered will include paper topic identification and development, preemption checking, research planning, and organizing research results (including a review of various software tools that might be helpful). Students also will use specific databases and other tools of scholarly research especially helpful for topic identification and development, including specialized current awareness publications, social science research tools, and statistical sources. Finally, the course will provide tips about how to avoid plagiarism.
